Joe’s law practice is founded on fifteen years of state and federal court trial experience in the areas of construction, commercial, business, real estate, and insurance litigation. He works with commercial and residential owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, to protect their interests, to resolve their disputes, and where necessary to litigate their rights in court. He has worked with national contractors and national and international suppliers in legal matters in Ohio and throughout the United States in State Courts, Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts, and before administrative tribunals. Joe has extensive experience with state private and public mechanic’s liens, Federal Miller Act claims, and bond claims from pre-lien notices to filing to litigation and collection and has filed and recovered millions of dollars in lien actions. He represents contractors and owners in all types of insurance litigation disputes from coverage claims to bad faith and has successfully represented clients in insurance disputes from coverage to bad faith claims.

In addition, Joe represents businesses and shareholders in business disputes involving contract litigation, dissolutions, fiduciary obligations, and enforcement of restrictive employment covenants. He has counseled shareholders and officers on their fiduciary obligations and rights and favorably prosecuted actions where those obligations are at issue. His real estate work involves representation of sellers and buyers in claims of fraudulent misrepresentation, insurance claims to obtain coverage for property damage, and administrative zoning disputes. Joe has consistently obtained dismissals for sellers prior to trial and has won verdicts for both buyers and sellers at trial.
